Scotland

Education Scotland was established in 2011 as a new public body, charged with supporting quality and improvement in Scottish Education and thereby securing the delivery of better learning experiences and outcomes for Scottish learners of all ages. There is a section of the website for Community Learning and Development, including Adult Learning and Adult Literacy and Numeracy; and International Literacy Day.

The Standards Council for Community Learning and Development for Scotland is the body responsible for the registration of CLD practitioners, the approval of training courses, and the continuing professional development of the sector workforce.
