Reflections
in Lifelong Lifewide Learner Journeys
“Ol’ man river, dat ol’ man river,
He must know sumpin’, but don’t say nothin’
He just keeps rollin’,
He keeps on rollin’ along.”
(Oscar Hamerstein II, librettist, 1895 – 1960)
RaPAL Annual Conference Friday, 19th June 2015
held as regional colloquium at hubs across the UK
RaPAL represents practitioners, learners and researchers in the field of adult literacies in the UK, Ireland and around the world. Our next conference will be held as regional colloquia from 10:00 to 12:30 in Glasgow, Merseyside, Cardiff and London. Refreshments and networking will be from 09:30 to 10:00 and 12:30 to 13:00 and our AGM held 13:00 to 14:00. We are working towards limited virtual participation for those unable to attend a hub. There is a Google Plus page of activities from the morning.
Booking
Ticketing at £12, and members’ rsvp, is now closed. Participation was heavily subsidised, including refreshments, to support practitioners and other stakeholders to participate. Members free. We look forward to seeing you there.
Conference Themes
River of Life synonyms: waterway, beck, branch, brook, course, creek, delta, estuary, headwater, mouth, rill, riverine, rivulet, run, runnel, source, stream, tributary, watercourse, waterfall
The regional colloquium hub nature of the 2015 conference provides a wonderful opportunity to focus on our broad theme of reflection, which includes the wide variety of journeys in the context of lifelong lifewide learning.
We invite discussion and contribution to our interactive workshops, posters and discussions on the following topics designed to promote successful interaction in teaching, learning and assessment with learners; and practitioners own research-rich CPD. This morning aims to bring together models of professional practice reflective activity, diverse teaching and learning strategies, and practical support for small-scale practitioner research.
